Thinking of all of you back home tonight as you deal with the aftermath of the nor’easter. We’ve been watching from a long way off and wishing we were closer. I hope everyone is safe and the cleanup goes quickly. Sarah and I are sending our love.

It was tough in Brant Beach. I couldn’t get my 19’ Montauk Boston Whaler out of the water, so I secured with double stern lines (my bow faces south). But all 4 stern lines snapped Friday night. The boat ended up being wedged between pilings with the bow bouncing on/off the dock. It appears I only have cosmetic fiberglass damage. Know anyone on LBI who is good at fiberglass repair? Not patching, but replacing sections of the deck.
Water surrounded us everywhere. Almost got into my Audi.
Stranded for 48 hours with no way to go anywhere. Luckily I had food for 50 hours.
Love your blogs!!!!!
Fair winds!

Dave, glad to hear you are safe. Hope the Whaler gets fixed. Don’t know anyone off hand. However, try Tom Mackay at South Harbor Marine. He has a couple of freelance guys that do repairs.
